TRC UPGRADES ITS ONLINE BIZ SERVICES

Written by Web Admin. Posted in News Archive

Entrepreneurs who wish to purchase technology and livelihood products offered by the Technology Resource Center (TRC) will soon be able to do so online via the eBayad payment scheme. In the recent MOA signing between officials of TRC and the National Computer Center (NCC), TRC Director-general Antonio Ortiz expressed excitement over the project saying it would enable entrepreneurs in the countryside to have immediate access to TRC products and services without needing to go to Manila.

eBayad is the Philippine Payment Gateway System for online government services. Managed through the facilities of the NCC, the online payment scheme is expected to bring government services within a clicking distance from its citizens. The service is envisioned to ease payment of various government services such as registrations, permits, licenses, and similar documents. For dynamic, market-oriented agencies like the TRC, eBayad is expected to revolutionize how livelihood information is delivered to entrepreneurs.

Through eBayad DG Ortiz said customers would soon be able to just surf the Internet to order and pay for TRC's products such as Printed Livelihood Manuals, Business Courses on VCD as well as their downloadable counterpart. Eventually, this would extend to online enrollment and payment for TRC's Business Seminars.

NCC Director General Angelo Timoteo M. Diaz de Rivera said presently, customers paying through the eBayad may opt to pay via the automated teller machine (ATM) of Bancnet and Land Bank of the Philippines. They may also pay through their cellphone via Globe Telecom's G-Cash. To Further ease use of eBayad, Diaz de Rivera said plans are already underway to enable credit card holders to enjoy the service as well.
